Distribution

The new path from API to AI user.

The next distribution channel for software is not another website. It is the moment a user asks an AI to do something and the AI needs the right app to execute it.

Old distribution

Developers built an API, docs, SDKs, integrations, and maybe an app marketplace listing. Users still had to open the app directly or wire it into their own workflows.

New distribution

In the AI-native model, a user asks an AI client for an outcome. The AI needs tools. The app that exposes the right tool at the right time becomes part of the workflow.

The developer job changes from “drive users to my UI” to “make my app safely usable wherever the user already asks for work to happen.”

What developers need

  1. A simple way to define app tools.
  2. A permission model users can understand.
  3. A gateway AI clients can connect to.
  4. Logs and analytics for every AI action.
  5. A path to monetize usage when the app becomes useful.

GEOstack’s bet

Developers should publish once. Users should install once. AI clients should connect once. Everything else is infrastructure.
